Online Dog Behaviour Coaching

Everyday life with a dog can feel stressful when you’re dealing with pulling, barking, overreacting to everything outside or a dog who never really switches off at home. I help you understand what’s going on and guide you through simple, practical steps you can use in your daily routine to create calmer, easier behaviour. All coaching is done through WhatsApp, so you get support that fits your real life, wherever you are.

What Is Online Coaching?

Online coaching gives you expert behaviour support from home and on your walks, so you can work on real-life problems with clear guidance that fits into your everyday routine.

How I Can Support You and Your Dog

I support dogs of all ages, breeds and backgrounds. Whether you’re raising a new puppy, navigating the chaos of adolescence or working through more complex behaviour with an adult or rescue dog, coaching gives you clear guidance you can apply straightaway. I help with lead pulling, reactivity, overarousal, anxiety, settling at home, manners, confidence and all the small everyday behaviours that affect life with your dog.

Why Online Coaching Works

Online coaching gives you support right where behaviour actually happens — in your home and on your walks. You can message as things come up, ask questions when you need help and send videos for feedback. This means your dog isn’t performing for a trainer in the room, and you get steady, realistic progress through simple changes that suit your daily routine.

What You Get Inside Coaching

You receive clear step-by-step exercises, a weekly planner you can use at your own pace, and direct guidance through WhatsApp. You can send videos whenever you need to, ask questions as situations come up, and get practical, easy-to-use feedback so you always know what to focus on next. The aim is to make day-to-day life with your dog feel more manageable, enjoyable and straightforward.

If you’d like life with your dog to feel easier and more predictable, online coaching gives you the guidance, structure and support to make real progress together.

About Me

I have a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and over 25 years of experience working with animals. My career has taken me through a wide range of roles, including more than a decade as a dog trainer and behaviourist. I’ve supported pet dogs, rescue dogs, sports dogs and assistance dogs, with experience at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and Medical Detection Dogs.

I now use that mix of knowledge and hands-on work to help people understand their dogs and build routines that genuinely work for them. When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me training agility, taking photos, travelling or writing.

The best way to understand my work is through the dogs and owners I’ve supported along the way.

"Erica is very skilled on picking up where your dogs strengths and weaknesses are and uses short, easy exercises that bring real results. I had worked a lot on my dogs car chasing but was still left with real "sticking points" that I struggled to move past. Erica was able to work at our pace so that neither myself or Nip got overwhelmed. We are already seeing things moving forward!"

"Erica is absolutely fantastic. I have been subscribed to online coaching for the last few months and with her help, we have made vast improvements to our cockapoo dog’s behaviour and I believe, state of mind - he is much calmer and able to participate in training. Erica is always very responsive, non judgemental and explains things in an easily understandable way. She is also able to personalise training plans to your exact situation/ dog and level of knowledge."

"I can't praise Erica enough! Both my partner and I are first time puppy parents, and we were really struggling when we got our little Millie but Erica was absolutely incredible in every way! At first, we thought crate training was going to be impossible as every time our puppy cried, we cried but with Erica's guidance, she now sleeps right through the night. Erica also greatly helped with what foods we should be feeding her and where to buy natural chews from and general commands. She was also always so patient with us and very quick to respond to all my messages. Both my partner and I are much more confident because of all Erica's help!"

Stories For Dog People

I write these stories because behaviour isn’t just training plans — it’s real life, real dogs and real moments. These short, illustrated pieces capture that mix of joy, messiness and personality we all live with.
